The company's laboratory conducts salt spray tests on finished hinge samples, which are mounted on dedicated test racks inside a controlled corrosion testing chamber. A continuous saline solution is applied over set durations to simulate long-term exposure to marine environments.
Every sample is managed under a formal testing protocol: each batch carries a laboratory test application form and unique identification markings, documenting test dates, sample codes, and material information. This ensures complete traceability from incoming hardware to final quality disposition.
In the most recent test cycle, hinges from three hardware suppliers — Jinfeng, Yongyi, and Isa Monroe — underwent a 96-hour salt spray evaluation conducted over five consecutive days. The results provided clear, data-driven guidance for procurement decisions:
Jinfeng: Rust detected — unqualified
Yongyi: Rust detected — unqualified
Isa Monroe: Passed corrosion resistance requirements
The testing process did not end at the pass mark. Of the three Isa Monroe samples, one exhibited a minor rust spot and was scheduled for continued testing to verify long-term performance.
